On Sunday Feb 21st 2016, the Mezz Pro-Am
made its way to Fat Albert’s Billiards in Somerdale,
NJ 42 strong players came out to play. the field included
players like Michael Wong, Anthony Meglino, Adam Kielar,
Rick Scarlato, Joey Testa, Kevin West, Eddie Abraham,
and Melvin Garcia Sr. We would like to thank Joe Young
and Al Tonelli for hosting the event.
Leading the top half of the bracket was Adam Kielar
with wins over Shaun Dobson 6-2, Wes Dobson 6-1, Jon
Spencer 6-1 and Joey Testa 6-4. Leading the bottom half
of the bracket was Anthony Meglino with wins Tony Kenote
6-2, Kevin Gilbert 6-3, Eddie Abraham 6-5, Michael Wong
6-2 and Kevin West 6-4.
Playing for the hot seat was Adam Kielar Vs Anthony
Meglino. This was a one sided match that had Anthony
Meglino taking control from the start and winning easily
6-2 sending Kielar to the one lost side. Waiting for
him on the one-loss side was Joey Testa. This too was
a one sided side match that had Adam Kielar winning
6-2 and getting to the finals.
In the finals was Kielar vs. Maglino. This was a true
double elimination event. First set race to 6. second
set one game sudden death. In the first set, Maglino
won 6-4 and the Mezz Pro-Am Stop # 3.
