Mezz ABCD made its way to Fat Albert’s in Somerdale, NJ Saturday January 2, 2016. A strong field of 66 came out to play players like Rick “The Winter Glove” Rosado, Nicole Monaco, John Moody Jr., Freddie Scott, Colleen Shoop, Ralph Lake, Vince Dinucci, Ron Alzert, to name a few.We’d like to thank the owners of Fat Albert’s Al Tonelli and Joe Young and their wonderful staff for hosting the event.

Leading the top half of the field was Rick “The Winter Glove” Rosado with wins over John Mulligan 7-5, Nick Comstock 7-4, Vince Dinucci 7-3, Randy Kay 8-5, Derek Hestra 7-6 and Muaz Khan 9-8. Leading the bottom half of the field was John Moody Jr. with wins over Nick Teoli 8-6, Ralph Lake 8-6, Jerry Dunne 7-3, Shawn Jackson 7-6, and Chad Mullison 7-5.

Playing for the hot seat was Rick “The Winter Glove” Rosado vs. John Moody Jr. This was a great match that went to double hill. When it was all said and done, John Moody Jr.came away with the win 7-6 sending “The Winter Glove” to the one-loss side. Waiting for him was Freddie Scott. This too was a great match that went back and forth, but it was Freddie Scott that pulled away witha 8-6 win and a trip to the finals.

In the finals, it was John Moody Jr. vs. Freddie Scott. Both players decided to play one game in sudden death. Freddie Scott won the game, winning the first Mezz ABCD event of the 2016 season.
